What happened

GE Healthcare is recalling the Discovery NM/CT 670 dual detector nuclear imaging system and related Nuclear Medicine Imaging Systems worldwide. The recall was initiated after GE became aware of a patient death at a VA Medical Center facility in the US caused by injuries sustained during a scan on an Infinia Hawkeye 4 Nuclear Medicine System.
