What happened

Beckman Coulter Inc. is recalling seven MicroScan WalkAway-96 plus Instruments (catalog number B1018-284) that may have been assembled with an incorrect AC power entry connector inlet. The connector inlet in these units is rated for 1 ampere of current when it should be rated for 10 amperes. The affected instruments have serial numbers 39610007 through 39610013 and were distributed worldwide and throughout numerous U.S. states.
