Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. is recalling seven Artis zee biplane MN X-ray systems (Model Number 10094143) distributed nationwide in the United States. The recalled systems may experience insufficient cooling of the X-ray tube if the coolant level in the cooling circuit drops below a certain level. When this occurs, the system will first display a "TUBE HOT, have a break" message, and several minutes later will block X-ray function and display a "NO XRAY: TUBE TOO HOT" message to prevent further damage to the equipment.
The affected systems have the following serial numbers: 149100, 149401, 149421, 149106, 149202, 149420, and 149402. The recall source does not specify a remedy for affected consumers.
