Access Vascular, Inc. is recalling 79 HydroPICC Catheter Kits (model PICC-142) distributed to North Carolina, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Illinois because certain scalpel and StatLock components included in specific kit lots have expiration dates that are shorter than the expiration date printed on the outer package. The affected catheter kit lots are 09112001 (expiring 9/24/2021), 10212001 (expiring 10/21/2021), and 10282001 (expiring 11/18/2021), which contain scalpels and StatLock fasteners with earlier expiration dates than stated on the packaging.
