Nissan is recalling certain 2021-2022 Rogue, 2022 Frontier, Pathfinder, and Titan rental vehicles because a software issue can cause the rearview camera display to stop working. When the Sirius XM subscription is set to "Not Subscribed," the infotainment system may reboot and disable the rearview camera, which reduces the driver's ability to see behind the vehicle and increases crash risk.
Nissan will fix this problem for free by updating the infotainment system software through a dealer or over-the-air update. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 29, 2022. Affected owners can contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 for more information about the recall, which is identified as R22A5 PC901 PC902.
