Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
BMW of North America is recalling certain 2022-2023 iX xDrive40, iX xDrive50, iX M60, 2022 i4 eDrive40, and i4 M50 vehicles with hybrid electric powertrains. The issue affects the Central Information Display (CID), which may fail to show critical safety information such as warning messages and warning lights when the vehicle is in Valet Parking Mode. This display malfunction can increase the risk of a crash because drivers would not see important warnings they need to operate the vehicle safely.
BMW dealers will resolve the issue by updating the display's head unit software at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 6, 2022. Owners of affected vehicles should contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 to schedule a service appointment for the software update.
