Porsche Cars North America is recalling certain 2020-2022 Taycan vehicles because a software error can cause the center screen and touch control panel to go black immediately after the ignition is turned on. This malfunction may also cause the Real-Top-View display to flicker. Since the rearview camera image displays on the center screen, this problem obstructs the driver's view of camera-assisted driving functions, increasing the risk of a crash.
To remedy this issue, Porsche dealers will install new software at no cost. Owners should expect to receive notification letters in the mail and can contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 with questions about the recall (Porsche recall number ANA6).
