Triumph Motorcycles America is recalling certain 2018-2020 Street Triple RS, Tiger 1200 models, and 2019-2020 Speed Triple S and Speed Triple RS motorcycles. The front brake pads may corrode, which could cause the friction material to detach from the backing plate. If this happens, the motorcycle may require a longer distance to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Triumph will notify owners and replace the front brake pads at no charge through authorized dealers. The recall began on June 26, 2020. Affected owners should contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010 and reference recall number SRAN 579 to arrange a replacement at their nearest Triumph dealer.
