Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
PACCAR is recalling certain Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks from model years 2008-2020 equipped with NAMUX Software. If the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) loses electrical power, the dashboard warning light may not illuminate to alert the driver that the ABS is no longer functioning. This creates a safety risk because drivers could unknowingly operate the vehicle without ABS, increasing the likelihood of a crash.
PACCAR will notify owners of the recall, which began May 26, 2020, and an interim notification was issued on June 4, 2020. Dealers will update the NAMUX software in the cab control module at no cost to the owner. Affected owners should contact Kenworth customer service at 1-425-828-5888 or Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220 to arrange the software update. PACCAR's recall numbers are 20pbc and 20KWB.
