Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Kia is recalling certain 2019 Sedona vehicles with an 8-passenger seat arrangement because the seat belt buckle for the second-row middle seat may have been installed on the wrong side of the seat. This installation error prevents the proper use of the 3-point seat belt, which increases the risk of injury in a crash and violates federal safety standards.

To remedy the issue, Kia dealers will inspect the seat belt installation and reinstall the seat belt buckle to the correct side if necessary, at no cost to the owner. The recall began on April 8, 2019. Owners should contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 to arrange an inspection, and can reference recall number SC177.
