Lakota Corporation is recalling certain 2018-2019 Lakota Bighorn, Charger, Colt, and Livestock Edition trailers because the Federal Placard on these vehicles contains incorrect tire weight capacity data. If a trailer is loaded to the weight limit shown on the placard, the tires could fail, which increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles do not comply with federal tire safety standards.
To address this issue, Lakota will notify owners and dealers will provide new placards with correct weight capacity information at no charge. The recall began on March 18, 2019. Affected consumers should contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636.
