What happened

Sunright International of America, Inc. is recalling certain Rodia RHD200 and Rodia RHD200V motorcycle helmets in all sizes manufactured between August 1, 2008 and July 31, 2018. During a crash, the chin strap on these helmets may stretch excessively, causing the helmet to separate from the rider's head and increasing the risk of injury. The helmets do not meet federal safety standards for motorcycle helmets.

According to the recall notice, affected owners should contact Sunright customer service at 1-770-682-3035 to receive a refund of the purchase price. The recall began on October 12, 2018.

Sunright International of America, Inc. (Sunright) is recalling certain Rodia RHD200 and Rodia RHD200V helmets in all sizes manufactured August 1, 2008-July 31, 2018. When load is applied to the helmet such as in the event of a crash, the chin strap may stretch, allowing the helmet to separate from the rider's head. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Motorcycle Helmets."
