What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2016-2017 Vibe recreational trailers (model ORVBT236RBS-64) because the Federal Placard on these units contains incorrect tire information. The placard lists rear tires as ST205/75R15C inflated to 50psi, when the vehicles actually have ST225/75D tires that should be inflated to 65psi. This discrepancy violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements for tire selection and rims.

Installing the wrong tire size and load range or underinflating the existing tires based on the incorrect placard information increases the risk of a crash. Forest River began notifying owners on June 6, 2017, and will provide a corrected Federal Placard free of charge. Affected owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-541-644-8063 and reference recall number 64-05232017-0413.
