What happened

Gulf Stream Coach is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ameri-Lite and Super-Lite trailers manufactured between January 11, 2016, and April 11, 2016. The Federal Information Certification label on these trailers incorrectly specifies the tire and wheel size—it lists ST205/75D-14-C tires with 14x5.5 wheels when the correct specifications are 235/75R-15-C tires with 15x6 wheels. If owners rely on the incorrect label to replace tires and wheels, they may install an incompatible combination that could increase the risk of a crash.

To address this issue, Gulf Stream will notify owners and authorize dealers to install a corrected Federal Certification label at no charge. The recall began on July 22, 2016. Owners of affected trailers should contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787 and reference recall number GT060816 to arrange for the label correction.
