2016 VOLKSWAGEN TOUAREG
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Volkswagen is recalling certain 2016 Touareg vehicles manufactured between July 7, 2015 and March 3, 2016 because the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may be improperly calibrated. This means the TPMS may not alert drivers when tire pressure is too low. Additionally, the tire pressure information printed on the vehicle's Safety Certification label is incorrect. Driving on underinflated tires can cause sudden tire failure, which increases the risk of a crash.
Volkswagen dealers will correct the TPMS settings and replace the Safety Certification label at no cost to owners. The recall began on May 13, 2016. Owners who believe their vehicle is affected should contact their Volkswagen dealer, and can reference Volkswagen's recall number 44M9.
