Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Flex-A-Lite is recalling certain aftermarket electric fan kits sold between February 3, 2014 and May 27, 2015. The recalled kits are part numbers 274 (Dual Electric Fan Kit) and 59274 (Aluminum Radiator and Dual Electric Fan Combination Kit). These kits lack a required fuse holder that should be installed between the battery and fan control module, and they include circuit breakers that may not respond quickly enough during an electrical short, risking electrical system damage and potential vehicle fire.
To remedy the defect, Flex-A-Lite will provide owners with a free replacement kit containing a 60 amp fuse harness for installation between the battery and fan control module, along with a 30 amp circuit breaker to replace the original one. Affected consumers should contact Flex-A-Lite customer service at 1-800-851-1510 to arrange for the replacement kit.
