ADVICS ABS ACTUATOR
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Advics North America, Inc. is recalling certain anti-lock brake system (ABS) actuators manufactured between December 4, 2014, and December 23, 2014. These actuators may contain contamination in the solenoid valves that prevents them from closing completely or opening fully. This malfunction could cause hydraulic brake pressure to build up incorrectly or drop completely, and when the ABS activates under certain driving conditions, it could cause a loss of vehicle stability and increase the risk of a crash.
Vehicle manufacturers have been notified of the recall and will contact affected vehicle owners. Owners should expect their dealers to inspect and replace the ABS actuator if necessary, at no charge. The record does not specify additional actions consumers should take beyond waiting for manufacturer contact.
