What happened

Jaguar is recalling certain 2013-2015 XK model vehicles (XKR and XKR-S) manufactured between August 24, 2012, and June 10, 2014, with 5.0L engines. These vehicles have a tire placard label that incorrectly lists "none" for the spare tire's inflation pressure instead of providing the recommended pressure. Without proper pressure information, the spare tire may not be inflated correctly, which could cause it to fail and increase the risk of a crash.

Owners should contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827 to arrange an inspection. Jaguar dealers will inspect affected vehicles and attach a corrected tire placard label with the proper tire size and pressure information at no charge. Jaguar's recall number is J041.

Hazard

If the recommended pressure for the spare tire is not provided, the tire may not be properly inflated which may result in its failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

What should I do?

Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and, as necessary, attach a corrected tire placard label stating the tire size and pressure, free of charge. The recall began on August 29, 2014. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J041.
