General Motors is recalling certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 series (Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab), 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 series (Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab), and 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. These vehicles may have a transmission oil cooler line that is not securely seated in its fitting. If the line is not properly seated, transmission oil could leak from the connection and contact hot engine surfaces, potentially causing a vehicle fire.
GM will notify owners of affected vehicles, and authorized dealers will inspect the transmission oil cooler line connection and repair vehicles as needed at no cost. Affected Chevrolet owners should contact Chevrolet at 1-866-694-6546, and GMC owners should contact GMC at 1-866-996-9463. GM's recall number for this issue is 14121.
