Freedom Motors is recalling certain wheelchair accessible vehicles modified between February 2008 and January 2011: one model year 2009 Volkswagen Routan and certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country models. The rear axle in these vehicles may develop cracks over time and with use, which could lead to axle failure and increase the risk of a crash.
