2014 KIA SPORTAGE
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Kia is recalling certain 2014 Kia Sportage vehicles manufactured between September 30, 2013, and January 11, 2014, because the certification label on these vehicles contains incorrect tire pressure information. The label lists a tire pressure specification that is 1 or 2 psi below the correct specification, which does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110. Maintaining tire pressure below the recommended specification could result in premature tire wear and increase the risk of a crash.
Kia will notify owners, and dealers will correct the label information at no charge. Owners will also receive a sticker to insert into their owner's manual. The recall was expected to begin in February 2014. Affected consumers should contact Kia at 1-800-333-4542 with recall campaign number SC103.
