What happened

Monaco RV, LLC is recalling certain recreational vehicles from model years 2011 through 2014, including Holiday Rambler Campmaster, R-Vision Trail Cruiser, R-Vision Onyx, R-Vision Trail Light, Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite, R-Vision Trail Sport, Trail-Lite Crossover, McKenzie Rainier Ascent, and R-Vision Trail Lite Trek models. The affected vehicles were manufactured between October 12, 2009, and March 15, 2013, and have water tanks mounted under the floor within enclosed underbellies. The water tank mounting system may fail, which could cause the tank to separate from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

To remedy this issue, Monaco dealers will install a cross brace between the water tank and the mounting brackets at no charge. The recall began on July 31, 2013. Affected owners should contact Monaco RV, LLC at 1-877-466-6226 to arrange for the free installation. The recall number is 13001MRV.
