Keystone RV Company is recalling certain 2013-2014 recreational trailers equipped with Dometic 9100 Power Awnings or Weather Pro awnings with serial numbers 306xxxx through 314xxxx that were manufactured between February 13, 2013, and April 9, 2013. If the awning installation sequence was not completely followed during manufacturing, the awning motor may become damaged and cause the awning to unfurl unexpectedly either while the trailer is in transit or parked, which could increase the risk of personal injury or a crash.
Keystone will notify owners and replace the damaged awning motor free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2013. Owners of affected trailers should contact Keystone at 1-866-425-4369 and reference campaign recall number 13-193 to schedule a replacement.
