2010 NOVA BUS NOVA LFS
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Nova Bus is recalling certain 2010 LFS transit buses manufactured between June 10, 2010, and November 11, 2010, that are equipped with flush-mounted windows and Ricon 3-Minute Urban Transit Bus egress window sets. The emergency egress window handles on these buses may break due to incorrect material composition used in casting the handles, which causes the material to become brittle and lose strength. If an egress window handle fails during an emergency, passengers could become trapped in the bus and suffer injury.
Nova Bus will notify owners, and dealers will replace the defective egress handles at no cost, with replacement handles supplied by Ricon. The recall began on December 10, 2012. Owners of affected buses should contact Nova Bus at 1-877-999-8808.
