Dorel Juvenile Group — CHILD SEAT

Is my product affected?

DJG IC123FSM (COMFY CARRY); DJG IC124FSM (ONBOARD 35)

  • Brand DJG

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Dorel Juvenile Group is recalling certain infant car seats—the Onboard 35 (model IC124FSM) and Comfy Carry (model IC123FSM)—manufactured between May 2011 and April 2012. These seats were sold without the separate base that includes the latch attachment system required by federal safety standards. Without the latch system, the seats may be more difficult to properly secure in a vehicle, and in a crash, a child may not be adequately protected and could face an increased risk of injury.

The company will notify registered owners and distributors. Replacement bases that include the latch system will be provided at no cost to anyone who verifies they have an affected unit. Non-registered owners should contact Dorel Juvenile Group at 1-877-416-8111 or by email at infantlatchrecall@djgusa.com.

Hazard

WITHOUT THE LATCH SYSTEM, THE SEAT MAY BE MORE DIFFICULT TO PROPERLY SECURE AND IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE CHILD MAY NOT BE ADEQUATELY PROTECTED AND IS AT AN INCREASED RISK FOR INJURY.

What should I do?

DJG WILL NOTIFY REGISTERED OWNERS AND DISTRIBUTORS. BASES WHICH INCLUDE LATCH SYSTEMS WILL BE PROVIDED AT NO COST TO ALL THOSE WHO VERIFY THEY HAVE THE AFFECTED UNITS. NON-REGISTERED OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DJG AT 1-877-416-8111 OR BY EMAIL AT INFANTLATCHRECALL@DJGUSA.COM.
