2009 ZERO S; 2010 ZERO DS; 2010 ZERO S; 2009 ZERO DS
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Zero Motorcycles is recalling certain 2009 and 2010 Zero S and Zero DS motorcycles manufactured between July 2009 and March 2011. The front brake caliper bracket may become permanently deformed under heavy braking, causing the brake pads to misalign with the rotor. This misalignment can reduce front braking performance and potentially lead to a crash and injury or death of the rider.
Dealers will replace the front brake caliper bracket with a redesigned component and replace the front brake pads if they show abnormal wear. The front brake fluid will be inspected and replaced if overheating signs are detected, and the system will be flushed. All service will be performed free of charge. Affected owners should contact Zero Motorcycles at 1-888-786-9376 ext. 45.
