2010 MEDTEC TYPE II (VAN)
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Medtec Ambulance Corporation is recalling certain 2010 ambulance Type II vans because the rear-facing ambulance attendant seat may not properly restrain occupants in a crash. The seat belt assembly anchorage can disconnect from the floor if a reinforcement plate is missing from under the floor, which increases the risk of injury to the person sitting in that seat.
To remedy this issue, dealers will install the missing reinforcement plate under the floor substructure at no charge. The recall was expected to begin in March 2011. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Medtec toll-free at 1-866-263-3832.
