Nissan is recalling certain 2005-2007 Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes due to a problem with the wire harness connecting the belt tension sensor and occupant detection sensor control unit located under the front passenger seat. The wire harness can experience relative movement that causes wear and oxidation of the terminals, potentially interrupting the signal.
If the signal is interrupted, the airbag may not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to occupants. Nissan will notify owners and repair affected vehicles free of charge through authorized dealers. Owners can contact Nissan toll-free at 1-800-662-6200 for more information.
