Certain Peugeot diesel passenger cars—including the 208, 2008, 308II, 3008II, 5008II, and Traveller/Expert models—contain a plastic spacer component in the exhaust line that could damage the Diesel Particle Filter under certain conditions. This damage could create small cracks or holes in the filter, potentially causing particulate emissions to exceed regulatory limits.
The importer initiated a recall of affected vehicles, effective April 12, 2019. The recall notice does not specify what actions affected consumers should take to remedy this issue.
