Is my product affected?

Fan blower

  • Brand Andy J Leisure, Diamond Fans, Power Fans

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Fan blowers sold under the brands Andy J Leisure, Diamond Fans, and Power Fans pose an electrocution hazard. Water can enter the mains connector on affected models, causing the fan's casing to become electrically live. This creates a risk of electric shock if touched, particularly dangerous for children near inflatable products like bouncy castles who might inadvertently make contact with the casing. The affected fans have an electrical socket attached to the casing on the front underneath the blower; later models with a cable lead are not affected.

The affected models are the DF 1.1-230-50-UK (1.5Hp Inflation fan), FF 1.1-230-50-UK with model number AD240-BF (1.5 hp Galvanized Electric Fan), and QF-1.1 E (1.5HP Bouncy Castle Fan/Blower). According to the recall record, consumers are being warned of the risk as of September 1, 2012. The source does not specify what remedy is available to affected consumers.
