Nike SHOX R4 trainers (white shoes with red heel wedge and red trim, article code 104265 106 00, origin China) and Nike AIR MAX '97 trainers (black shoes with gold trim, article code 310026 081 00, origin Vietnam) have been recalled because they contain dimethylfumarate (DMF) at levels of 0.5-0.7 mg/kg in sachets. Dimethylfumarate is a substance that strongly sensitizes skin on contact and is banned in consumer products under Commission Decision 2009/251/EC. Both products are counterfeit.
