Night light
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Prezent brand night lights shaped like a blue penguin, green tiger, or purple dog pose an electric shock risk due to multiple safety defects. The products have a non-compliant plug, lack proper screws to secure the cover, and contain a switch and condenser that don't meet safety standards. The clearance and creepage distances around the switch are insufficient, and the toy-like design of the covers could encourage children to play with them. The night lights do not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or European standard EN 60598. The affected models are the 1200 Penguin Blue (EAN 8586007087906), 1204 Tiger Green (EAN 8586007087944), and 1206 Dog Purple (EAN 8586007087968), all marked with specifications of 1.5W, 230V, 50Hz on their nameplates.
The authorities have ordered a sales ban, market withdrawal, and consumer recall of these products. The source does not specify what actions affected consumers should take in response to this recall.
