What happened

The TFI Mini Travel Charger Electronic (TF1) is being recalled because it poses risks of fire and electric shock. The black plastic travel charger, sold in a green cardboard box marked TF1, fails multiple safety tests including humidity resistance, insulation strength, and voltage tests. The product does not meet requirements for transformer construction, lacks proper double and reinforced insulation, has inadequate creepage distances for various types of insulation, has pins incompatible with standard socket-outlets, and its plug cover does not resist heat as required. The charger does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or the European standard EN 60335.

The recalled products may have one of three different markings: TF1 with model TC-02FR (INPUT: 100-240V – 50/60Hz, OUTPUT: DC5-10V Max 800mA), NRG-60 with model TC-02TF (INPUT: 100-240V-50/60Hz, OUTPUT: DC 5-10V Max 600mA), or no marking at all. Authorities have ordered a sales ban, withdrawal from the market, and consumer recall. The source does not specify what affected consumers should do with their chargers.
