Hailo stepladders, model ProfiStep 7412-011, pose injury risks due to sharp points on the locking struts and gaps in the manual locking mechanisms where fingers could become entrapped. These ladders have a maximum weight capacity of 150 kg and come with labels and usage pictograms. The product does not meet the safety requirements of the relevant European standard UNE EN 131.

The product poses a risk of injuries because:- there are sharp points on the locking struts,- when the product is used either as a free-standing stepladder or as a single ladder leaning on a support surface, the manual mechanisms (metal plates 1.2 mm thick and 73 mm long) that lock the joints in leave a gap in which fingers could be entrapped.The product does not comply with the relevant standard UNE EN 131.
