Hess Spielzeug soother chains—one featuring a mouse's head and one shaped like a train—are being recalled because the chain can break easily, producing small parts that fit entirely into a small parts cylinder, creating a choking hazard. The products do not meet the requirements of the European standard EN 12586. The soother chains are sold in blister packs labeled with "+0 months" and "made in Germany," and include CE marking and warnings in multiple languages on the back.

The words “Folgende Hinweise Werden” [“the following warnings…”] and the warnings in different languages appear on the back.
