Three models of plastic all-terrain vehicle toys have been recalled due to an electric shock hazard. The affected products are the US ARMY jeep (model 901-A21), EXTREME RACER (model 901-A24), and FIRE RESCUE (model 901-A25). Each toy comes with four rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries and a charger. The hazard exists because the design only allows batteries to be recharged while they are installed inside the toy, creating an unsafe condition that violates European safety standards.
