A plush teddy bear toy with a detachable thermophore pillow is being recalled due to safety concerns. The toy, approximately 45 cm in size and sold by Kaufland Warenhandel GmbH & Co. KG, contains wheat grain filling in the pillow that is contaminated with calandre (a type of grain pest). The product also poses a choking hazard because the pillow seams can rupture and release the small grain pieces. The toy does not comply with the European Toys Directive and EN-71 safety standards. The product features a plush head and paws made of polyester, with an acrylic and polyester pillow held by velcro fasteners. The pillow is designed to be heated in a microwave for one minute before use as a toy filler.

It is a soft, partly plush toy Teddy bear with a pillow stuffed with wheat grain. The head and paws are plush (100% polyester). In the middle of a toy there is a space for a pillow with velcro fastener. This part is made of acrylic (60%) and polyester (40%). The pillow is made of cotton. The toy is about 45 cm long/high. On the label there is a CE mark and "Kaufland Warenhandel GmbH & Co. KG D-74172 Neckarsulm". The toy is packed in a transparent plastic bag with a handle. The plush toy is intended to be thermophore.
