Two expanding toy products sold under the Growing Pet brand—the Dinoinvasion Growing Pet and the Wizardly Egg Growing Pet—have been recalled because they pose a choking hazard. Each product consists of an egg containing an expandable toy (a dinosaur or chicken). If a child swallows the toy or any part of it, contact with saliva or stomach acid will cause it to expand by more than 50%, creating a serious risk of choking. The products do not meet European safety standards for toys.
