A plastic fuel tank equipped with a fuel level sensor used in recreational boats poses a serious risk of explosion, fire, and skin irritation. The gasket in the fuel level sensor degrades when exposed to petrol over time, becoming fragile and losing its protective properties. This degradation can cause fuel to leak from the tank into the boat. The product does not comply with the Recreational Craft Directive. The affected model is the "Sogliola" nr. 50218 fuel tank with 80-liter capacity (72-liter net volume), which was installed in Buster X boats manufactured between November 2006 and June 2007, and may also be present in other recreational craft using the same fuel tank.
