The product poses a risk of electric shock due to several safety defects: the supply cord has only basic insulation, the cord conductors have a cross-section area smaller than 0.5 mm², the chains lack markings indicating maximum rated wattage, and the instructions misleadingly suggest the product can be used in both open and closed areas when it is intended for indoor use only. The product fails to comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

The packaging is a cardboard box in dark blue with tiny white spots and pictures of Santa Claus in a sledge. There are printed instructions in Bulgarian with the name and address of the importer.
