What happened

A toy mobile phone styled like a Barbie doll called "Call me" is being recalled due to safety hazards. The pink plastic phone with colored buttons produces sound and light when pressed but emits noise at 95 decibels, exceeding the safe limit of 80 decibels and risking hearing damage. Additionally, the toy contains small parts that pose a choking hazard. The product does not meet safety requirements under the Toys Directive or European standard EN 71, and may be counterfeit.

A toy mobile phone with a picture of a "Barbie" doll and the inscription “Call me”. The toy is made of pink plastic, with five buttons in pink, green, blue and violet. It is powered by 2 AA batteries. Pressing any button causes sound and light emission. On the sticker and on the packaging there are warnings and information concerning the product in Polish, the name and address of the importer, a “CE mark”, “Made in China”, number of product and EAN, pictogram concerning the age 0-3 restriction, “Choking hazard due to small parts”. <b>The product may be treated as counterfeit. </b> Model: 6212 Notifying country: Poland
