Lithium batteries used in DENVER portable DVD players with 7-inch screens pose a fire and burn hazard because the batteries melt during charging, creating a flammable risk. The affected models are the DENVER MT-732 BLACK (serial numbers beginning with 4105), MT-732B (serial numbers beginning with 3953), MT-738 (serial numbers beginning with 3952), and MT-748 (serial numbers beginning with 4181, 4182, 4245, or 4361). The batteries do not comply with European safety standards and regulations.
The manufacturer has voluntarily withdrawn the product from the market. The recall source does not specify what consumers should do with affected units.
