What happened

Starbrite2 brand tattoo inks are being recalled due to a chemical hazard. The products contain azo dyes that may release carcinogenic aromatic amines, including o-toluidine, anisidine, and 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine. The affected products are Brite Orange (Lot BO30010, batch 4), Bubble Gum Pink (Lot BP40022, batch 5), and Lime Green (Lot LG72046, batch 3). These are sold in transparent plastic bottles with white labels bearing the Starbrite2 trade name and a yellow sun logo.

Authorities have ordered a sales ban, withdrawal from the market, and consumer recall of these products. The recall was reported by Italy. The record does not specify what consumers should do with recalled products.
