A toy called "Colored Growing" manufactured by HINGFAT TOYS MANUFACTURER® has been recalled due to serious choking and injury risks. The toy is a small expanding sea-shell made from spongy, absorbent material that grows larger when exposed to water. If a child swallows parts of the toy, contact with saliva or stomach fluids will cause the toy pieces to expand inside the child's body, potentially causing choking or internal injuries. The product does not meet safety standards required for toys in Europe.
The toy is approximately 2.5 inches long and marked with warnings including "CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 Years" and "It grows in water!" Authorities have ordered a sales ban, market withdrawal, and consumer recall of this product. The recall record does not specify what consumers should do if they have purchased this toy.

The product poses a risk of choking because the figure and the parts of the expanding figure grow in size by more than 50% when submerged in water. If a child swallows parts of this toy, contact with the saliva or gastric juices will cause the toy to grow in size, which may cause asphyxia or gastrointestinal injuries. The product does not comply with the Toys Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71.

The toy contains the following markings: “COLORED GROWING“, „It grows in water!”, “Caution: Do not swallow”, “WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD- Small parts. Not for children under 3 Years”, “EXPAND 600 % OF SIZE” and trademark with lettering: “HingFat TOYS MANUFACTURER®, art. No.533".
