  • Brand Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Constructa, Balay, Lynx

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Certain glass ceramic hobs sold under the Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Constructa, Balay, and Lynx brands pose a fire risk because an electronic component can fail, causing the two electrical cooking zones at the back to turn on by themselves. Objects left on the hob can ignite without the user's knowledge and cause a fire. These affected hobs are 60 centimeters wide and have been marketed in Germany since January 1, 2006, and in Spain since September 2006. Only appliances with specific manufacturing data and identification numbers (E numbers) are affected.

The manufacturer has taken voluntary corrective measures to address this hazard. Consumers who believe they own an affected hob can check whether their specific appliance is included by visiting www.service-management-web.com, where information about identification numbers and affected models is available. The record does not specify what remedy is available to affected consumers.
