A set of four baby bibs marketed as "4=1" has been recalled due to the presence of a hazardous chemical called 4-aminoazobenzene found in the colored seam bindings. The chemical was detected at levels ranging from 72 to over 1,000 mg/kg in the light green, olive green, dark blue, and beige-brown seam bindings on the bibs. These products do not comply with EU Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC. The affected bibs consist of a white textile side with printed design backed with white plastic film, with colored seam bindings that come into direct contact with a child's skin.
The distributor has voluntarily recalled these products from consumers.
