This recall involves a Christmas lighting chain with 140 non-exchangeable lamps and a flashing unit (model 140 rice light, EAN code 6901022235224) sold in blue cardboard boxes with Christmas motifs. The product poses risks of electric shock and fire due to multiple safety defects: the electrical conductors are too thin (0.055 mm² instead of the required 0.5 mm²), the plug spring can expose live parts during mechanical testing, the flashing unit cover can break and expose live parts, the bulbs have insufficient insulation, and the conductors can move in and out of the flashing unit. The product does not meet EU Low Voltage Directive requirements or the standard EN 60598.

The product poses a risk of electric shock and fire because:- the nominal cross-section of the conductors is insufficient (detected value is 0.055 mm², which is less than 0.5 mm² required by the standard),- during mechanical testing the conductors of the network plug spring leaving the live parts accessible, - the cover of the flashing unit broke during the test leaving live parts accessible, - insufficient insulation of bulbs identified, - the conductors can be easily moved from and into the flashing unit.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
