What happened

MAVIC is voluntarily recalling its R-SYS front wheels for racing bicycles due to a safety hazard involving the carbon tubular spokes. The spokes can break off during use in certain circumstances, which can cause the wheel itself to break and result in the cyclist falling. The affected models are the R-SYS, R-SYS Premium, and R-SYS Test wheels, which feature a 22mm aluminum rim with 16 radial carbon fiber spokes and display an R-SYS logo on the rim's outer side, along with a barcode and serial number sticker.
