What happened

Time-Cap Labs is recalling Kroger brand aspirin and ibuprofen products because their packaging does not meet child-resistant packaging requirements mandated by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The aspirin product is a green and yellow labeled bottle containing 81 mg delayed-release tablets (300 count) with a green continuous thread gear closure, while the ibuprofen product is a blue and white labeled bottle containing 200 mg capsules (160 softgels) with a blue continuous thread gear closure. Specific UPC and lot numbers are affected: aspirin UPC 4126001295 with lots A077J, F032H, F035H, J011H, and K031H; ibuprofen UPC 4126001298 with lots FH1163, C11044, C11047, C11064, C11065, C11079, and C11084.

Because the packaging is not child resistant, young children could potentially be poisoned by swallowing the contents. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should immediately store the recalled products in a safe location out of reach and sight of children, then contact Kroger for information on how to properly dispose of the product and to receive a full refund.
