Inyo Pool Products is recalling two models of 1.5 HP electric pool pump motors sold under the PureLine brand name due to a fire hazard. The recalled motors, model numbers PL1152 and PL2152, can overheat and pose a fire risk. The PL1152 has a round flange and measures 11-7/8 inches long by 5-1/2 inches in diameter, while the PL2152 has a square flange and measures 12-1/2 inches long by 6-1/2 inches in diameter. Both are black, and the model number can be found on a white label on top of the motor. These motors were sold exclusively on inyopools.com.
Consumers who own a recalled motor should immediately stop using it and contact Inyo Pool Products for a free replacement. Once the replacement is received, consumers should cut one of the wires connecting to the capacitor on the recalled motor and dispose of it according to local requirements, then send a photo of the cut wires to recall@inyopools.com.
